Just like in the title, I ran an Impreza. caught up witha Subie crew and wanted to run. He obliged and after talking/listening about Stage 2 APC on a BLT for about 45 min, we ran from a dig. They wanted to run from a roll but I wanted a real race. I told him, that I knew AWD owns in a dig but I wanted a real win or lose. We went out an ran it. I took him from the start. He claims I jumped it but then another guy observed that he actually spun w/ AWD. I think he screwed up the launch. I had about a car on him to start. Unfortunately, he reeled me in and took me by about two cars. I am not sure how far we ran but he won fair and square.

At least you tried. Those cars are fast. I had a hard time with one myself.

good loss man...was it a wrx or a sti?
damnit janine for the 10th time the sti you ran into was modded to hell and back to hang with you! the sti is a quick car stock but they are expensive to make fast (especially for a factory boosted car)...but anything can be made fast with time and money. you would absolutely destroy a stock or mildly modded sti

I hear you. Unforturnately, around my way, most fast cars have been modified to some extent. As far as the STI I ran who gave my Stang such a hard time, I never seen him again. He shouldn't be too hard to find as his plate said "URLOSING". I will catch up to him one day and find out exactly what he did to that STI to make it run so fast. I really would like to know.
I would like to run a stock STI just for good measure. My eyes are alway looking around for one to show up on the boulevard. Whether he/she will race is another story.
Later, Janine

All it said on the back was 'Impreza' I would assume that he was a WRX but I really dont know. They are nice cars along w/ Evos as well but after hearing about the engines, not for me really. My friend added an intake and took it off because the WRX's computer evolves and screws up with any mods at all. You basically have to change the engine management or something to run an intake or front mounted intercooler or anything. A v8, you bore out and gain hp, or something. Yes, you do have to tune but with those guys, you tune, and tune, and tune. Get it running, kinda and then spend more time tuning to get it all worked out completely. Otherwise the computer freaks out. Nice car but now I have to mod to keep up next time. I already have most of the cash needed but I am still saving some. Later this summer, I will run with or take him.
