I have a 91 GT and it has fog lights. The problem is they only turn on when I have the headlights on. I want to be able to have them (fogs) on by themselves or with the parking lights on, or maybe also with the brights on. I tried testing some of the wires behind the headlight switch but was unable to find the right combination to make it work.

Does anyone know how to do this correctly? Any help much appreciated

No clue but mine does this too, I'd also like them to turn on with just the parking lights
or a standalone fog :)

You could bypass the stock wires and add a switch that would turn the fog lights independently.

If the wires are the same on a 91. I know the switch is different. I guess they could possibly be wired the same.

Basically the switch activates a relay. All you need to do is have the parking lights supply power to the switch so when activated it can energize the relay making the fogs come on. By having the parking lights supply power you will have it both ways, headlights off fogs on, headlights on fogs on.

I wanted to do this but make the fogs into daytime running lamps that would retain the stock functionality when I turn the headlamps on.
