Default A/C

Well, I'm thinking of removing my A/C unit altogether. I don't even use it that much, so why not. Should free up some HP, but how much?

extremely minimal becacuse it acts like an idler pulley when the clutch isnt engaged. So if you arent running the ac you are lookin at maybe 1 or 2 hp from removing it. Just make that up somewhere else by removed 10 lbs lol.

Yeah, but I want to get an 8. Don't get me wrong, I love the six. But there is more potential.

Hi,
Screming has installed an oversize AC pulley, and got 3-5 RWHP with it ( see section "Every Little bit" on his site http://www.tammyandjohn.com/Mustang/...ng/Mustang.htm . I wonder if doing so needs a new belt, if not why?

So, coming back to your statement, gaining only 1 to 2, this must be able to yield much more if just a larger pulley gives 3-5. You must get double that?

well for insurance purposes.. there is a pretty big discrepancy in how much he would have to spend if he had gotten the V8...... an engine swap though will probably put him around what he would've paid for the GT, except that he has the v6 insurance... who knows.. to each his own....

My insurance for my 6 was thirteen dollars less a month then an 8....I went with a six because of gas prices .... I don't see how insurance could be that big of a deal I am 22 so I get no breaks on the insurance. unless you have several tickets or wrecks, which means you definatley need to stay with a 6 for your own well being... but then again I live in oklahoma so I only have to worry about people pulling their horses and carriages in front of me.
