So I read through all of these posts (long freakin read), anyway, I thought I speak up in this kids defense a lil bit. It doesnt matter how fast he went, he was going a lot faster than traffic, sped up or not. First off, he was in a mustang ... a car suited for higher speed, second it was at night when traffic is light, and lastly he was on a limited access speed "road", which means theres no pedestrians or very slow moving vehicles. I think its kinda dumb to brag about breaking the law much less video tape yourself doing it. It doesnt matter what you all say to this kid hes going to do what hes going to do. Im not gonna rag on him because Im guilty of it myself, granted I did it later when there is literally NO traffic around where I live, most of the time. People buy mustangs for different reasons, some want to race, some want to look "cool", some do it to go fast, not race just to haul some serious ass......which is why I bought mine. I love to go fast and I cant help it, I get behind the wheel of a car and its on. Yes, that kid is full of it, thats no 600+HP car, yes, his truck looks stupid as hell with those tanks on the tool box, and yes its really stupid to have a 400HP seadoo, but what you all dont realize is even though this kid is immature and doesnt know much, but he knows just enough to be dangerous. -P. PS: I think its even more stupid to go that fast on a rural road, at least on the highway its closed off......sorta.
up until last year I still had a single master cylinder hahaha, now I just have 4 wheel drums brakes with my rears being bigger then my fronts! thats why you get a extra 1/4 mile to stop after the finish line right? lol

I notice he hasn't piped up lately. Has he been banned? Or maybe it's that he finally realizes that most of the members here know waaaaaaaaay more about Mustangs than he does and that we aren't fooled in the slightest by his BS?
And to P Zero... limited access "speed" road (whatever that is) or not, what he was doing was dangerous and stupid and illegal. Please, don't encourage him.
Transmission is a t-3650 built by Spencer Trans, it has a Steeda tri-ax shifter, Kevlar Clutch, and yes, its doing 150mph 4th gear @6300 rpms, if it helps ill shoot another video but its hard because i dont like having anyone ride with me, as no matter what is said here, i try to concern myself with others safety when possible.
I didn't read all this, but how exactly did you stroke a 281 to a 418? And you still have the stock plenum?
If it's a 418 than it most likely began life as a 351W or perhaps the one of Bill Mitchell's blocks with various deck heights. I am not aware of a 281 stroked that far.

the worlds fastest street stang with no Aero kit only goes like 190 it was a blown cobra and featurd in Mustangs and Fast Fords several several months ago.

and why the hell would you mount the bottles to your redneck box of that truck? so you can show off that you have nitrous? nice work...and does it look to anyone else that the nitrous line goes from one bottle, to the other? last time that i checked, a truck can "have nitrous", and that doesnt mean that it goes into the engine...bottles make for a nice "look at me" at redneck truck shows...
If you’re going to mount bottle like that you must be hung like a squirrel. Does the NX sticker make it go faster? Also, that box looks like something out of JC Whitney. I am trying to be a gentler person but this is a joke. I have to agree that intake is not something that bolts up to a block with a deck height of 9.5".
WTF is up with driving like that on the street though? When he stuffs that thing under a 80,000 pound semi I won't feel bad.

Good eyes on the -4AN line that only connects the bottles togehter...WTF. I also like how the ZEX stickers are rotated so they can be read...man I live a sheltered life...
ORIGINAL: JD1969 um...a stockish Mustang is not suited for high speeds, they are unstable at speeds over 140 unless the suspension is done right.
+1 I had commented earlier on this. Also if anyone is going to be going that fast for periods of time your going to want to upgrade the brakes. Last thing you want are your brakes going out at 150+. At least get slotted rotors. Cross-drilled are nice but they can crack under repeated hard use.

The 02-04 Saleen S281E's were speed rated at 185 mph from Saleen. And the car could do it. Saleen claims their aero kit alone gives the car 7-10 mph more than a stock kit. These cars made around 380+ rwhp. I have a friend who has a modded gt, and at 140 in his car, it feels like 175 in my 01 Saleen.
I remember a top speed test on a bunch of cars a while back in which they taped up the openings on the Mustang and removed the rear wing. I think they picked up at least 5 mph. If memory serves me correctly they had a Supra Turbo that they feared the hood would pop off because it started to bow. This was back when only really expensive cars could hit 150+.

Ive gone faster than this guy claims to have gone in my '85, but as was commented earlier the suspension needs to be done right, also aerodynamics really come in to play after Id say even as low as 90mph. I lowered the bejeezus out of my car, if you stand a packof smokes upright thats where the bottom of my stock bumper cover starts, I also put in the old Extang (theyre lund now) headlight covers on. I left the stock 85 wing because it actually functions at higher speeds, unlike the '87 - 93 GT rear spoiler, which I swear creates lift. I have overheated my brakes numerous times, I have to change the rotors 2 to 3 times a year, they actually turn blue. Aside from that the old 4eye cars are more aerodynamic than the '87 -93 as well, especailly with headlight covers. Im not tryin to encourage anyone to do anything. Personally I love to haul ass, I hit 100+ DAILY (weather permitting). I have tons of experience driving at these speeds, and just like this schmuck I only do this when Im alone, but I NEVER do it when traffic is around, even on my normal cruising Ill slow down to pass cars so the people dont freak out. And the people on here rippin this kid a new one I know that some of you are being hipocritical, Im sure youve done it - at least once. Otherwise whats the point of soupin your car up? At that point why would you even buy a GT or a cobra? Anyway, Im gonna jump on my 500HP John Deere lawn mower and cut the grass at 150 mph. Maybe Ill smoke a camaro while Im at it. -P.
