Today I was on my way home on the highway and a school bus merged in front of me and kicked up a rock that hit right in the middle of the driverside winsheild. There is an ectual dent there and it is alreadym spidering out in 3 places. My question is, can I get another OEM winsheild with the pony on it like the stock one, or is it up to the individual insurance companies? What is the best way to go about getting it replaced?

That is so weird you asked this, 'cause this happenned to me yesterday...a truck on the interstate shot up a rock at my windshield and I now have a divit (looks like a small fly) on my passenger side!!! Not sure in your state, but here in FLA, that is covered by insurance at a 100% no deductible...if the damage is smaller than a quarter ($.25) in diameter, then it can be repaired rather easily by a qualified shop that will inject it with a silicone mixture...

If your insurance lets you chose where to get repairs, get it repaired at the dealer and specify OEM windshield.

In TN there is no law saying where to get it repaired or how many estimates. My ins is pretty cool too, 0 deductible on windshield/

Good Luck.
