95LT1,

If a big wing like the one on the GTR are not necessary, why does Max. Motorsports have one on their shop race car? Don't even try to argue with them about handling. They are the second most successful Mustang racing company behind Griggs Motorsports. These guys are pros.

That's a cool car, but I would have to admit (even as much as I like the GTR) that if I saw that car on the road I would have to cry rice.

They have that so birds can make nest on it. I'm not getting back into this. It's pointless. You guys can argue all you want. The thread is fuggin old. Let it go. Maybe you should e-mail NASCAR and let those guys know about this also.

Well, if you remember NASCAR banned wings like that. Don't forget the Road Runner.

Point taken. Good one too. I know f-1 cars have these and mostly all auto-x cars have them. Hell, it's necessary, but not on a fuggin Mustang.

That's what the car should have looked like.

I photoshopped that picture. I just took this pic:
[image]http://www.mustangforums.com/albumtn.aspx?size=mid&imgpath=2937-asppg_Yw690272504.jpg[/image]
and made that one.

I've seen the photoshop you posted. They did a good job.

The wing should be a little lower, and the "bolt on" chrome around the exhaust should definately be removed and the exhaust should look flush, with more of a square shape to match the lines of the car, almost Lightning like. Then I'd take one.

I found some specs to the car, but no telling if they are acurate...supercars.net Specs are at the bottom.

And that photoshop pic of the GT-R, is the way I would want to see it on the road.

Guys you are NOT getting it (real or imagined), it is a purpose built race car for the American LeMans series.

You wont get unless your into road racing, it will be a GT class car racing against the likes of Porshe, Ferarri, Acura, and, Bitch Means Well.

I am trying to find out if I can order one. The price will be north of 200K! And no it is not street legal, you need an SCCA license just to buy one. Kind of like the orignal SVT's.

I'm OUT

I have read some of your posts, I guess this is what I should expects from a Chevy guy. The previous posts along with "yours" kept asking about the wing, I give you the reason behind it and this is your response. Your not worth the time!

Down force is not created by that type of wing. Down force can only be created by a wing that is off the back end. That wing could only help the car fly.....LOL

That car will NOT make it into production, it's way against ford's style!

It would be a flop!

Wow...this is an OLD post.

These cars are NOT going into production. Again, they're NOT going to be produced.
