Im always on streetfire and I know how these people are. The only reason you got bashed was because your video wasn't too 'interesting' or 'exciting'. No offense to you or your car or anything, but it just doesnt stand out too much. If you had some sweet burnout/doughnut vids you would have gotten 90% praise :)

I reallly like the post in here about the fake purges..... :eek: moral of the story, these guys are all suffering from impodence, and therefore must belittle other people just trying to share videos. after i got those remarks i did a search for mustang and posted positive replies on like 40 vids before those queens could get to it :)

I know what they do. and its cool, i wich ford would make the the same stock hp/liter numbers that the imports do (i mean damn, 180 out of 1.8 in the GTS NA?) we could really get into a displacement issue but that isnt the point. what these guys are doing is making as much hp as a stock 5.0, then cutting their cars weight down as much as possible to get the ET up. the 5.0 guys start with that hp, then start modding, and with about the same investment end up at about the same place (but their car isnt maxed out yet). 4cyl hve their limits. how often do u see anything other than built v8s in drag finals? and they never come close to 5.0 torque. the point is, the sacrifices that one would have to make to get those cars there isnt anything i want to do.

ur kinda depressing me..... nobody is taking anything out on imports, and you are making an aweful lot of assumptions about us:eek:. knock it off already. did u miss the part where i said i know guys with b swaps? even a civic hatch (light as hell) with that H22. 220 hp in a 2200 lb car aint bad. in fact, its better than ive got NA (but not by much) but i still out torque the crap out of him. and that H22 hatch ratio is about the best u get NA. now, do a b turbo setup and we've got a completely different story as those things can run anywhere from 14s to 10s depending on the supporting mods. we were talking about NA hondas... since u had the problem with the statement i find it strange that you cant keep this in mind :eek:

just an added note, i once raced a mazda m3 (?) hatch, and had 5 people in my car including me. before the nitrous or pulleys, he still had no shot. light weight might be alright, but it is no replacement for horsepower and torque

yea i have an 89LX and the value thing, i dont think you know this but honda's hold their value. I think it has something to do with the reputation for being one of the most reliable car companies. For example my 92 civic has 190,000 miles still runs like new and I beat the sh out of it. I mean really beat the sh out of it. I never changed the oil i just every so often just add some. now im not trying to start another argument about reliablity b/c i just dont care about that i just say dont bash hondas bash the guys claim they have a nice one when its just stock with a bunch of glitter on it same applies to the guys with mustangs that do the same ****, stock car with euro or altezza lights< bash them

its my daily driver the only reason i would mod it is b/c is slow very slow. and i love driving fast so with the civic i can have a fast daily driver that get 30+ mpg and still reliable the mustang is my car for the week ends and for when im going to go pick up girls

exactly so u have not changed the oil in 20k thats a far cry from 190k. Umm the best thing u could do for the poor lil car is change the oil, its not hard and it should be done every 2-5k

why swap the engine, one so it will have lower miles 2 b/c i like to drive fast 3 so when the kid in the stock v8 pulls up and is hating me b/c i have a 4banger i can just drive away from him. seems stupid i know but the way i see it is if i get beat in the civic with the engine swap then i just go home and bring out my gas hungry stang to take care of the situation

oh let me guess your going to do the b18 or whatever it is. what is that an acura motor? I got news for ya its not going to be that bad. a stock 5.0 with a good driver will take you without a problem.

acura and honda are the same company, but the mustang would never handle the abuse i put the civic thru

if you think about it tho with a honda for 3K im adding 100hp by just swapping the engine, now i know you can do that with a mustang but you are forgetting with the honda the engine is still stock more bang for your buck there

i hate ricers.... all they do is moan. when they do beat a muscle car they have finally spent 2 or 3 times worth their car or the muscle car for that matter. IF and when they do beat us they are usually Forced induction against our stock vehicle. i know you see lots of videos and cobras and such but around where i live, people mostly have stock vehicles. i know i have one of the fastest cars in the area and its 20 years old has over 200k miles and is STOCK. cept the full exhaust and gears, even without those it was still quicker than all of my friends cars. dont sweat what those guys have to say, they are just bitching cause well i pay less than $200 for a camshaft and gain more HP than they do spending $400+ on camshafts. theirs no replacement for displacement. they dont understand that if we go turbo as well we will be far far far far far ahead of them.

89 I hate to pick a bone with you here but your wrong. To begin with you wont pull 5K for a 15 year old honda no matter how little milage it has. Hondas may depreciate at a slower rate than a Mustang BUT they never appreciate in value! A Mustang on the other hand will thats a fact.
Also your fighting a loosing battle here. You might as well be trying to argue with us that Bin Laden should be elected for a noble prize. We all see your opinion, but you know what they say about those.........

yea i have an 89LX and the value thing, i dont think you know this but honda's hold their value. I think it has something to do with the reputation for being one of the most reliable car companies. For example my 92 civic has 190,000 miles still runs like new and I beat the sh out of it. I mean really beat the sh out of it. I never changed the oil i just every so often just add some. now im not trying to start another argument about reliablity b/c i just dont care about that i just say dont bash hondas bash the guys claim they have a nice one when its just stock with a bunch of glitter on it same applies to the guys with mustangs that do the same ****, stock car with euro or altezza lights< bash them
