Someone at my school is getting a vr-4. Its stock, and the second he got an OK from his parents to get one, he came up to me. he started talking smack right from the start. He knows nothing about cars. He knows its 320hp and thats about it. he doesnt know however, that it makes only 215 pounds of feet torque, and that his car weighs about 3,700 pounds. Anyways, hes convinced that hes going to win. Oh he thinks Im stock by the way. I told him I have only 260 hp and a good driver and that I'll still win and that kind of pissed him off a little. I'll be racing him from a dig, because roll racing is retarded. I dont care if im at a disadvantage from a dig. I'll be sure to post the vid. I'll have the Ls1 vid up soon too. wish me luck!

wow. yeah, youll "play" catchup, but passing him SHOULD NOT be a problem. the ONLY thing he has going for him is the awd, but, if hes stock, after that, hes toast. go get him. make me proud

Unless he does a 5000 rpm clutch dump the AWD is not going to help him much. Most people with AWD are too scared to really launch thier cars. You should win pretty easy.
Coming from a guy with a minor bolt on automatic 97 GT, this doesn't mean much.
However, I will say that after the race is done he should have a nice view of your taillights... I honestly don't think you'll have a problem against the guy with a new car.
Just remember this - they have tons of potential, despite their weight.

Childish? HA... see this is where you are incorrect. The "overrated" 3000GT upon which he downplays and obviously insults in a condescending manner would most likely, with not even a seasoned driver, absolutely hammer him in his bolt on 97 GT.
He drives quite possibly one of the slowest production Mustangs EVER built (sorry guys, not trying to insult - just making a factual rebuttal).
Now, the reason I commented on his waaaaaaaaaaaaaaas... (ready for this?) my car wasn't built for speed & I don't talk down about imports/any other car when I know nothing about them. It really had no relevance to the topic and pretty much just revealed his ignorance on the topic at hand.

Thats your defence for being a prick. What does it matter that the guy drives a 97 Auto GT with a few mods then ??? Why you bringing his car into this ? The second someone metions you drive a honda you get all pissed. IT SUCKS WHEN SOMEONE CRAPS ON YOUR CAR DOESN'T IT !!!! ...... He never personally attacked you or your car he simply stated his opinion on the car being discussed. Try not to dig yourself to deep and just admit you posted something stupid ......
You should be fine as long as you can drive. AWD launches are tricky and he will not be used to driving the car. Once, he learns about how to drive his car and realizes how easy it is to make that car fast, you better watch out. It may be a little different.
I did see someone post that you are doin 12.5s. If so, you should always give him a good run for the money.
