Default Roush or Saleen?

Hello, I am new here. I am checking out a new car to get and I have always been interested in mustangs. I was woundering if anybody knows how much hp and torque the Roush stage 3 have and is Roush (stage 3) any better than Saleen (S281-E) or vis versa? Thanks for the help oh and this is for a 2004.

IF YOUR COMPARING THE ROUSH 380R TO THE SALEEN S-281-E THE SALEEN IN MY OPINOIN IS THE WAY TO GO. 445 HP COMPARED TO ROUSHES 380. ALTHOUGH THE BASE PRICE FOR S-281-E IS 60k. BOTH ARE RARE CARS. ITS JUST UP TOO YOU.

A stage 3 Roush is directly comparable to a Saleen S281sc, not a S281E. The E is way more car.

...go to Saleen.com, and see the differences between the E and the SC. In a nutshell, the E has a built engine, as well as every Saleen option avalible. Also, the blower in the E car is used only in the E.

Another vote for the ROUSH.

HP and performance differences between the comparable models (Stage 3 and SC281) is negligible. Both cars are great to run and look at but my preference would fall on the ROUSH side.
Some things to consider:
>ROUSH has a huge engineering background, their parts and packages are top-notch.
>The S/C unit on the Stage 3s dyno right at or above 360rwhp/rwtq.
>It's a proven fact that the ROUSH S/C unit produces the most power for 6lbs.

Either car will turn heads and evoke a permenant smile when you stomp the long skinny pedal.

Good luck in you choices though.

Smoke has the answer about the engineering, background, etc. I would choose a Saleen as second choice to Roush. I love Saleens, but they have also become too mainstream now. It is very rare to see a Roush on the road. I have mine 2 years and haven't seen another on the road yet. All the car shows I go to, I wind up being the only Roush. People never know what it is or ask if it is a SAleen or something, because Saleens are more commonly known. They were even in the Fast & furious movie. Also the R series Roushes have an awesome nostalgic look w/ the stripes, bullitts, etc. Once again I am not taking anything away from the Saleens they are awesome cars, but I would rather have the Roush.
