Hi, I'm new to the forum, but I have a question about installing an alpine dvd headunit in my 2003 mustang gt conv. The alpine dvd player needs to set flush against the dash when it comes out of the slot to display the screen. The problem is in the 2003 mustang the console angles inward where the radio is below the heating/cooling controls. The radio sets a good two inches back and when the screen comes out it needs to be able to angle straight up. Is there anyway to modify this area (a new mounting kit or bezel) or has anyone out there ever attempted this or know of another method? Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,
B

I went to a audio shop about a month ago, and asked the same thing. He told me that I could put the unit where the a/c controls are and move those under the head unit.
