I have an '06 GT with Shaker 500

Should I do 5x7's or 6x8's in the front

and should I do 5x7's or 6x8's in the rear??

Basically, is there any difference between the two sizes, and is there any modification needed for either size? Thank you!!

no....either or should fit...basically the same size....most speakers in that size show 5x7/6x8 on the box

oh yea...i did 6.5 components in the front with the tweets mounted behing the factory grills (non mach in my case so they're down low)....which i regret because my leg blocks my highs...and then 5x7 coax in rear for fill....however some guys think you dont need rear speakers and if you do spend more on the fronts...which i ALSO regret...i WAS going to do 5 1/4s in the rear but didnt want to do 2 sets of adapters...IDK if this is true but i just think music sounds better coming from round speakers...just a personal pref and round speakers generally handle more power...but anyways 5x7 and 6x8 are the same
