Default 4.10 or 3.73 Gear

I have heard a crap load about gears being one of the first mods

Can someone please explain the difference between 4.10 and 3.73.

Which should I get? Which is "better"?

I searched but didn't find an explaination.

Ooooo man your gonna get it hahaha but the odds are about 99% of the people here will recommend to get 4.10's ..theres a sticky on it BUT either ive gone blind or its not there anymore. If you want that nasty push off the line..get the 4.10's though it'll cost you just a TINNY and when i say tine i mean TINY bit of mpg loss but hey im gonna leave it to those with the experience...take the floor ladies!

Not gone. Just grouped in with all the tech stuff for gears, CAI's, UDP's etc. here's the link to the ring and pinion sticky..

And here's the link to all the Tech stuff in the sticky section here...

EDIT
Oh and I said what I did cus usually some of the guys here with no experience with gears say go with 3.73's. I have experience with gears. I put 4.10's in my old Stang, and wouldn't go any other way. If you put in 3.73's, you will kick yourself later for not going with 4.10's. I drove all over the pacific North West with my 03 with 4.10's. I was getting over 23 MPG when I sold her last month. You will love the 4.10's if you go that way.
Yea, I know, I said I wasn't gonna give advice on gears no more, but I wanted to explain to the noob why I said what I said. I wasn't tryin to slam you, I just got frustrated with ppl with no experience giving advice on things they know nothing about.
flame suit on....
