So, I am about to do a study here at the local UNIV that is going to pay around $3000. I plan on moding my car with this money. I am torn between getting like a CAI with SCT, 4.10 gears, headers, short throw shifter, and other mods... or, just saving up a little more and getting a S/C. What should I do?

since your still in college(im guessing) i wouldnt do a supercharger unless you have a backup car and can afford to rebuilt it. I have fun doing one mod at a time and charting my progress at the track.

I'm dying to get a magnacharger(due out anytime)...battle with wife on the horizon :)
supposedly theyre gonna run around 3500 non- intercooled...thats comparable to some centrifugals- but a positive displacement gets ya mondo torque down low, the one thing the new mustang needs in my opinion...miss those bigblocks. I wouldnt want to race a blower on a stock bottom end, but just in everyday driving, man an extra hundred footpounds would be noticable...quietly, legally noticeable. Right now the mustang is a ball to drive, but as the power builds, youre making attention getting noise and breaking speed limits as it gets pulling good...I miss slipping the tires by just tapping the throttle- while safe boost(esp non-intercooled) might not get ya 500 ft-lb, 400-420 ft-lb should be doable without killing it- just drop the redline 1k and enjoy...I wouldnt want to hit 6k with even 5-6 psi boost as that might get expen$ive in a big hurry. with an extra hundred foot-pounds you can shift a little shorter, still feel the power...I like driving torquey cars- even if the hp numbers aint there, torque just feels awesome. I'd prefer a 250 hp 450 ft/lb street motor to a 300hp/320ftlb anyday(well except maybe dragrace open track day)
