It would celebrate the vehicle's 40th anniversary.
Wish they would drop another 428 Cobra Jet engine in it.

good God...when will they stop recycling short runs from 40 years ago that did not even last a year?

I personally like the idea of bringing these short run sort of ideas back. Hopefully it could get a good number of people to learn more about the rich history of the REAL pony car and see where their new toy came from. And yes rwh, a 428 would be awesome to see again, ha!
