"Best way to paint rubber side mouldings?
I needed side mouldings for my fox, and I purchased a used set. They are green in color currently, I need them to be Performance White. What would I need to do as far as prep work, primer, etc goes. Painting rubber is quite new to me:D Should I use one of those adhesion promoters(ie bulldog). Do I need a clearcoat
Thanks for everything |

they are just like any other flexible body part; you want to use flex additive in the paint, adhesion promoter sure won't hurt, & if the green paint is of poor quality or has obvious "stress fractures"; consider stripping them with a urethane safe stripper. Clear coating them only helps to protect the underlying paint. the car finish is clear coated, right? But I'm guessing your thinking about doing this with the 'ol spray can paint method & won't be adding flex additive......

Ya, I honestly probably will just find a can of matching duplicolor paint and spray them that way[X(] |

you can take a pint of the paint with the flex additive and put in a can and pressurize it for spray...try eastwood for it
