Default $2500 in Mods for 2006 Saleen SC

What are the best mods I can get for around $2500. Most HP for my money? Where to buy and where to have tuned? I would love to be at 500HP when all is said and done. Is it possible for that kind of cash?

I am assuming that you are fine voiding the Saleen warranty with your question.

It seems a CAI, larger injectors, larger MAF and a custom tune will give you decent gains.$900-1100
Of course, a smaller pulley will do wonders, $100.
Larger t-body $350
Coil Packs $550
Aluminum Driveshaft-$700

This will get you there easily. The only risk is if you do the pulley as it increase the boost. From what people are saying the stock bottom end is good for around 500-525 reliable hp. Anymore than that and you are asking for trouble. (Please correct me if I have heard wrong)

A couple of guys have already done stuff so I suggest you search this site for dyno results etc.

I've always heard/read that the stock bottom end is safe up to 450hp - any more than that an you should consider forging the internals [&:]

By adding the Mods suggested, will I have to worry about the bottom end? Where can I find out what the bottom end is rated for (HP that is)?

There has been guys blow at 400 and I've heard some are at 500 just fine. I say anything over 450 your on borrowed time.

Jim Jr at teamjdm can hook you up, but as axeman mentioned, you are playing with fire at 500hp on stock internals.

Are you guys talking about fwhp or rwhp at 450hp max for the stock internals?

With stock internals, the Saleen SC really can't handle much more HP safely, is this what I am understanding?

The Saleen SC itself is fine, its the crank, rods, pistons you have to worry about.
