I went from a 3000 gt sl with toyo dope tires to a 89 stang. I love rear wheel drive and the low end balls but I am starting to miss the race car feeling sitting low in a bucket seat ripping it around a corner. What can I do to make my stang feel more like a sports car.

well just replacing woren out bushings when ploy one will make a difference...as will bigger sway bars camber plates tyo give you more camber inwhich they did on the 90 model, and a strut tower brace...also droping the car an inch will help
Subframe connectors. A buddy of mine lowered his car, koni shocks and struts, 9" wheels front and rear, he put the car sideways, hit a bump, and it broke his windsheild because the body was the flex point.
To make the stang handle better, the biggest impact will be starting with stiffening things up. Some good subframe connectors, and a strut tower brace is a great place to start, helps build a solid foundation. Some rear upper and lower control arms, lowering springs, and some high quality shocks and struts, along with camber/caster plates will get the car to handle very well. From there, you can start doing all the smaller stuff like aluminum rack bushings, and all those types of things.
The biggest impact will be wheels and tires. Some 17" wheels and quality tires can make or break the car. Tires alone has transformed how both of my birds handle.
