Hey I invented the short bus so don't stress it. Seriously though...I've never understood the whole wave at someone thing..
Think about it...you're on a boat, people on shore feel the need to wave. You're flying low in a plane/helicopter, whatever, people on the ground feel the need to wave Parades...well..okay fine...I can give that one a pass
Am I missing some needy gene here that gives me the urge to wave in certain common situations?

Hmmmm...maybe. Are there people that you see several times a day, yet still say "Hi" to every time you see them (i.e., work, school, etc.)? I do...but then again...that's me. Now I thought of that Seinfeld episode about that...

I wonder if people that pass each other while ridding the short bus wave to each other...oh wait...they wave to everyone
the whole 'Wave cos you have the same car' or 'Hi I have a Muthtang too look at me!' is way ghey...why do you think the PT Cruiser wave caught on...they're ghey...

Apparently, you've simply replaced the "wave at people" gene with the "call everyone in a forum thread retards and 'ghey'(does spelling it that way somehow change the meaning in your world?)" gene.
<AGREE WITH JIRAYA. No need to call out the gay or retard card. Immature for sure.

Yep, you're a noob. Nuff said. As for "correct" grammar and spelling...who cares, it's the internet and I'm playing around. If I want to make a serious point I do pay a little more attention.

wow, way to bust out the technical side Derf00
anyways, i like the wave, i dont really give it anymore unless i am very sure that the other person will give it back (ie: they are looking at me and smiling) i usually get it from people with sports cars or people who are driving those big-ass f350 things. most waves i get from mustangs are from old guys (they are happy to connect with today's youth?)

OMG Someone call the uptight police, help! Geez.... no wonder the 05/06 peeps have been accused by other forum members of stickin' in their own little 'clique'
Lighten up a little. If you can't poke fun at yourself, you're no better than those that scream bloody murder or me who teases others.

ehh... I just get bored with people that get all "high and mighty" uptight and can't poke fun at themselves.
Sorry I just find waving at someone because they have the "same car" silly, of course that's no more silly than me say Hi to someone more than once a day or me calling them ghey...
Either way you may have hit on something with that last comment of yours. Who knows...
Okay here's a question to make this more of an intellectual discussion since sarcasim and lightheartedness seem to have gone right over the tops of some of your heads (and you know who you are ).
I love it when people say that they dislike "high and mighty" people while acting high and mighty themselves.
Anyways, I always viewed the thumbs-up kind of like 'the nod' that you get sometimes from random people. It's just a sign of respect/appreciation, that that person or car looks good.
If I saw someone waving like a maniac or something, that'd be wierd.

Heeeyyy watch the spelling And it's not acting high and mighty, it's tryin to get peeps to loosen up.
Nod I can/do do sometimes. I dunno, maybe the wave just takes too much effort

I think it's like giving thumbs-up or waving to someone who has, say, a bumper sticker of one of your favorite bands or something like that on their car...recognizing a common interest. And like you don't see people who drive Corollas waving to one another, fans of Nickelback are too common to have any unique shared interests based on that similar characteristic. (No offense to Nickelback fans )
If I saw someone waving like a mainiac...they better either be someone I know or my car better be on fire, or else, I'm not even making eye contact!!!
I get some people that wave back to me in my area. You can usually tell if they're the type by looking at the condition of the car and who's driving. I usually get the thumbs-up from the younger or the older drivers. It's funny when you drive next to a girl and she snubs you though - it's as if you're trying to get into her pants or something because you drive the same car! lol I usually just leave them alone. (Come on, I know I'm not the only one!)
I wave because I want to. I love the car, and always liked the Mustang heritage. Go ask a Harley guy why he wears his Harley logos and puts them on his truck...
