I've always been a die hard 87 Grand National owner, and naturally the enemy has always been the Mustang. But, now that era has come and gone, the new SVT Cobra has raised my interest in Ford, and I'm contemplating taking the plunge. Since I see a Mustang on every corner, I figure the prices have to been lower than my rare GN parts. Does anyone have any idea, or path to take to upgrade the 2003 SVT Cobra when I get it? MAF upgrade, K & N filter, X pipe, Bassani headers & catback, Accufab Throttle body, 20 lb boost gauge, short throw shifter, 2.66 blower pulley, underdrive crank pulley, etc.??????? Does the Eaton supercharger have potential, or is the Kenne Bell supercharger a better candidate? Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Bryan

Thanks, that sounds like a logical quick mod, that's why I was figuring a 20 lb boost gauge instead of the 10 lb stock boost gauge. Man, this engine really intrigues me, I mean a force air induction system with a water to air intercooler....cool! Man, this engine should handle 22 lbs of boost with no problem, and if done right, kick out around 725 hp at the crank. I looked at a few last night and today.

Changing the subject: I've only seen one with chrome wheels...is this an expensive option or something??

let me know what these things cost you, i just got a new 02 with mach1 specs but i plan on adding upgrades maybe a year down the line when i have it paid off (nothing goes on this car until its 100% in my name and paid for) , , as for your rim question, check out the ones i got with my car, i personally like them better than the chrome, because you dont see this style as often.

as i read in 5.0 and super fords today, changing the sc pulleys, air intake, and exhaust are supposed to be the best first mods on the 03 Cobra

Yeah, a K&N CAI kit gave 25 hp on a stock '03 Cobra!! I wish a CAI on my car would give me 5 hp.
