I have a 2005 v6 convertible. I've lowered with eibach pro street, and added front and rear Hellwig anti-sways. I'm keeping the stock rims/tires for now. Time for shocks and struts. I am looking for street dampers, not for the track. I want to improve handling and ride quality.
I'm searching for Bilsteins, but I guess they don't exist for the 05. Do you know anything about future availability?
Could you describe what you know about the Ford Racing m18000- A dampers you sell? Are they similar in any way to Bilsteins, at least in terms of being a single tube design?
I realize they are tuned by Multimatic Motorsports. I've read what they are using on the FR500, but I don't think these are the same. The FR500 dampers have adjustable dampening and ride height.
Thanks again.

The only two options out right now, that are worth upgrading to, would be the Tokico D-spec or Ford Racing Damper Kits.
We do not know much about the Ford Racing Damper kits, because Ford hasnt released too much information.
We do know that they're a a street valved shock/strut package, not too stiff, they work great with almost all of the lowering springs for the 05-06. We've sold tons of D-spec and Ford Racing Damper kits, all of our customers have been quite happy.

So if the car was going to be used primarly for street driving and no road course type racing would the Ford Racing Shocks and Struts be a better choice? They certainly are priced right. And by the way are they in fact Blue in color or is that strictly for pictures.

Josh i have another question. Are either of these shocks and struts designed for lowered cars? What i mean by that is I am certain that the stock shocks and struts will bottom out and lose a 1-1/2 of range once you lowered the car which to me seems like the cause for them not working as well once the car is lowered. So are the Tokicos and/or the Ford racing ones shorter for a car that is lowered or are they still the same length as the stockers?
