just sayin hi
hey yagi here, new guy. when i was a kid, my dad raced. sometimes at the dragstrip. THE family car was a red 69 ford fairlane gt500 390 with a c-5, welded-on exhaust dumps, cheeter slicks, and an icechest full of concrete over the right rear tire. he won alot with that car in et brackets. i used to wrench in a service station as a teenager through high school. back in the day, i worked on all kinds of vehicles, some exotics, lots of bikes. both mx and street. since then i've moved on to other things but still enjoy hanging out in my garage working on something. i haven't raced in over 20 years but would like to try again with the '94 gt. i kinda got the bug again so i convinced myself that my family would benefit from my newest addiction. ya know, i'll be maintaining the cars better, having a race to go to and run or watch on the weekends, my wife will have a blast i hope.
i have a few fords in my stable. 04 lightning +4 boost, single blade TB, Cold Air - my daily 01 Mustang GT, Silver, bone stock - my wife's ride. 94 GT 306 ci. fluidyne radiator, 70 mm TB, edlebrock rpm performer II intake, Trick flow track heat heads, x303 cam, mac headers, wc t-5, aluminum driveshaft, 9in. 4.11 rear, lowered, cobra r wheels w/nittos. the 94 is a rescue in progress. i'm takin my time and upgrading as much as i can before i put the car back on the street. as i tear it down to make a repair, i sandblast and paint what i can. it had chevy orange all over the old intake and other various engine parts which really motivated my spray can. it is quite a mess electrically and mechanically. unbelievable country-fried wiring, wrong/missing/cross-threaded bolts, additional washers, inaccurate torquing, jeezus, how did this thing run as strong as it did? it was sad and the 'stang needed a better home. anyways, i'm trying to resurrect the '94 as much as possible. it's coming along a little bit at a time. it's now up on jacks in the garage being cleaned, taken apart, cleaned and re-installed. its been fun so far. does anyone have any vacuum diagrams or something to go by to plumb up the new edlebrock intake? it would be most appreciated. future '94 mods mgw shifter upgraded rear end suspension upgraded brakes tubular k frame/A arms |
