Took my car to my local dealer and they kept it all day to "Give it a good once over" well of course they couldnt find anything wrong or any info stored that told of something like a stuck accelorator. Also no damage was found to the brakes and my alignment check to within specs.

So what do you all think. A car going 80+ MPH, driver almost standing up on the brake pedal for several seconds until I realize what the prob was....how can there not be any damage or at least need to replace the pads for early wear? Am i just paranoid or what...my town is really small only one Ford dealer here, should I go to the next closest one and have them check it out?

just off the top of my head, wasn't there some problem with the floor mats? did you floor it? I remember reading something on here that the pedal was getting stuck on the floor mats for a couple of people when they floored it.

Some of the guys replied to my first post about floor mats but I think they decided it was a Cobra issue from 03-04...some of the guys said that they had stuck theres under their mats but I dont think mine was a mat issue?

the pedal getting stuck by the floor mat is also an issue in the S197's.
