so what does the U.S. do with this oil..??? I will tell you we sell the oil to Japan...!!!!
can I back that up..?? no .. but my brother was a BIG wig in the Navy before he got out .. and knows a lot that people are not supposed to know.. if you get my drift..
If your brother was as "BIG" a wig in the Navy as you're implying he was, he would know better than to shoot his mouth off about things "people are not supposed to know," AKA, classified information. But seeing as he apparently told you these things, I'm guessing Petty Officer, First Class... maybe...
stargazer468 VA is switchin to E85 this summer at all pumps, so i'm not sure about that whole "not having enough corn" thing. Oh well, It's supposed to be cheaper so I'm all for it.
What do you have to back this up, I say this cause i live in VA
Lets face it, we did not purchase a Mustang to save gas. If I was looking for economy, my older Civic was averaging 36mpg (city/hwy) and did 0-60 in low 7's. I sold it so I can get me a Mustang and loving it. I am looking into bumping my timing a bit to get better MPG but not sure if performance will suffer since our 91 Octane tune is set precisely.
I don't car about gas prices as much as i do about 65% of the United States being under water in 80 years. The average temperature to date has risen an average of half a degree every year the past 5 years. If that keeps happening, in 2020 the average temperature in Arizona in June will be 132*f. This is getting insane, we need to start using hydrogen right now. If we don't, it's not just our children that will suffer, we will feel the beginning of it.
I may have missed it... but, nobody seems to be blaming the oil monopolies, who are making excessive, record profits, unchecked by any government. It's not the environmentalists that are raising the prices on gas... it's simply boils down to the greed of big business.
We all must keep in mind that our president, notice I did not use a capitol P, is an oil baron him self. He has an interest in high oil prices. My politics are irrelivant. It costs about $0.70 or so in Venezuela for a gallon of gas and close to $0.10 in Iran. It will always be a catch 22 for us, we must tax the gas for maintenance of our highways and roads. We also have a vested interest in not drilling on our coasts and in Alaska, so we pay. If I had my way, I would drop nuetron bombs on Iraq and Iran, f*ck those people, they are ungrateful, and go in and take the damn oil! May be that's why I am not president!
I know a lot about getting better mpg than just driving techniques. Here are the Best in order: 1.Cold Air Intake-$100-$180 +2-3mpg 2.Flash Tuner-$350-$400-+2-4mpg Just from flash tuning people have seen great gains 3.Smaller Tires/Rims-$700-$1k(installed) +1mpg for every inch smaller the height of your rims are from stock 4.Gears-$350-$450(installed)-+1-2mpg city and highway stays the same if u drive below 60 5.Underdrive Pulley-$200-$275(installed)+1mpg 6.9mm Power Cables/Plug Wires-$100-$150(installed)-+.5mpg 7.Cat-back Exhaust System-$400-$700(installed)-+1-2mpg but varies by brand and style
