in a , post marriage, strategic attempt to not loose it all i Am selling my 99 vet convertible and replacing it
with something with a back seat, a cobra is what I am thinking at the moment. A cou[le questions come to mind
since I have never had a cobra but did have and 88 gt conv, 90 lx 5.0 limted, and a disaster of an 02 GT conv (in lemon yellow).

1) My thought is 99+ cobra as I think it might be hard to get use to solid axle again?
2) hows the quality on 99-01's?
3) hows the power compared to th ls1's?
4)recommendations on exhaust. I have corsa indy on my vette and it is incredicle - quiet at cruise, awesum during accel.
5)common problems w/99,01's
6) What to look for in finding a quality one.

if buying a 99+ model, get an 03/04. a 99 or 01 cobra wont feel like your vette, as a 03/04 will be faster than the vette and will have more potential than any car you can buy today

I promised the wife I would pull 10K out of the corvette selling price towards our new camper, so that leaves me with
a price range of upto 22k. which is a 99 or 01. Yeah I know wipped, but better I downgrade now and still have something nice rather
then give it up all later. At least the cobra can hold upto two child seats and the wife... I love the way the vet drives but Always hated
the flashyness of the car... I think I can live with the <take a deep breth> 320hp vs the 390Hp.

IS there still exhaust work that can improve the 99/01 or did fords fix to get 320 optimize the exhaust already?

actually u can pick up an 03 for 23-25...seriously, i dont think you will be happy with a 99 or 01
