Thought I would pass this on..dont know why but had to tell someone. On my way home from work tonight im cruising down the street (very slow) and coming from the other direction is a later model Vette.I say too myself "hey that car is very nice looking" (RED). As the car gets closer I take a look at who is driving. An older guy (grey hair) late 40's early 50's Im guessing. He stairs at me and my car ( 00GT ) And then flips me the bird. LOL What a Jerk-Off! Maybe he didnt like the way my car looked..I stripped it of every decal...including the pony on the front grill. I call it the "BLACK-EFFECT" Anyways looks and sounds pretty mean coming down the street(MAGNAFLOWS). Both passenger and driver side windows tinted to the darkest tint. ( 1 fix-it ticket so-far) Good thing my friendly neighbor (a cop) signed the ticket off :) You think someone driving a Vette wouldnt even give me the time of day let alone flip me off. :) Ill take it as a GM-vs-Ford insult. :)

This cockiness is why I hate most mustang drivers. You're not the end all be all of cars, I'd MUCH rather have a 45k stock 350 hp Vette over a 94 supercharged gt. Guys with vettes don't care about hp per dollar, they care about having a nice looking car that stock still runs 13s flat.
For $55,000 that vette better run 13's--in reverse--going uphill! Compared to the 03 Cobras, the new 03 vettes have only 10 more hp while being about $20,000 more expensive. I don't think Stang owners are cocky, just practical.

Just going by that, I will never listen to anything you have to say.
Own3dbyyou.... you're smart... i think you are the few that realize a stock vette runs 13s... but even fewer know that the hard top is faster than the T-top and the vert... so what kind was the red vette? plus an old guy ins't going to race you... but if he was a crappy driver the Gt might beat him... the vette isn't a piece, it is luxury and speed and performance slapped into one expensive package, Gm has the get the extra money for the comfortability and ease of driving.... mustangs are harder to drive than vettes but the vette definitly has more luxury in it, its a sports car made for old people who can't drive... but then yet if that ease is put in the right hands it can be used to an advantage... plus unless ur talking about a 2004 vette they don't cost 55K, its more like 25K maybe lower depending on the miles... i doubt any vette owener wished he drove a GT especially if he races! Hey 95LT1, you were joking right? that mid 14 second screamer would get left by a stock vette, especially once the vette hit about 95-100(on the interstate of course). But YYYEEEESSS some vette owners are snooty... most are rich out their asses so why shouldnt they be? that why they can afford the more expensive car... but my friends who own vettes hang out with mustang ppl, heck one of my friends owns a 99 C5 and his bro owns the SVT Cobra... they get along fine... why can't yall? myabe he was mad because he has an old pair of shriveled balls and you're young and can drive and do things he can't, old ppl are angry for the stupidest things. Don't jump to conclusions here boys... those vettes are competition to be had so don't get to high on your horse power.
I just say things that are out there. The first thing that comes to mind is what I type. I personally do not like the Vettes but that is just my oppinion. I fell in love with Mustangs at a young age and have liked them ever since. It was love at first site.

I've been brought up in a chevy home and i know its dumb for me to drive a ford but i like them and its what i can afford... plus they still kick and scream, they aren't wussy cars! I've always liked the shelby cobra since i was little, my dad used to have a drag car Mustang that he would OCCASIONALLY take me to school in, i felt so cool, it rumbled and was great to ride in, a REAL car.

I'm the guy with the C5 vette and my bro has the 03 cobra, and we get along fine. You are going to find assholes no matter where you go, and in all types of cars. It's stupid to hate the car because the driver did something you didn't like. Both vettes and mustangs have their own specialties. Vette owners don't buy $50k vettes so they can beat heavily modded gt's or cobras, because they usually can't. They buy them because at the end of the day, whether they won or lost, they are still driving a vette. A vette is expensive because of the name, performance in a straight line, cornering capabilities, everyday driving manors, electronics, comfort, and the list goes on. Just because it got beat by a modded car that costs less, doesn't mean its not worth the extra money. What happens when you take a vette to the road course? The vette is a factory race car with everyday driving abilties, unlike the viper. I race my bro all the time and sometimes I win, sometimes he wins, thats what makes it fun. I take my vette and hang out with his cobra club, and he takes his cobra and hangs out with my Ls1 club, and hell yeah we make fun of his cobra, but its all in good humor and everyone respects the cars because they are all fast. He returns the favor when I'm with the cobra club, and I get to hear it from them, but its just for fun and we know how to take it. It's all about being grown up enough. The one thing we all have in common is we have american muscle cars that are against ricers. Thats what I would like to see happen here. What the hell is this GM vs Ford bs. These are all american cars, we should be together against those pos ricers. Thats the way it needs to be. Ricers are the ones with the attitude problems and think they are the **** because they think they are in the movie fast and the furious. Only ricers go around talking **** like that. Ricers need to talk **** and tell the world their car is fast because no one would think so otherwise. Most of them are family sedans, or everyday cars, used only to return us to our american cars on the weekends. People with american cars don't need to run their mouths, because everyone already knows their ****s fast. Just a thought.
