Default helmets

So for those of you that go to tracks that require helmets, what kind do you have and what would be recommended.

Ideally, you'd want a helmet that carries the appropriate snell safety rating for drag racing. A drag racing helmet is actually rated to withstand multiple head impacts, such as your head bouncing around off of a roll cage etc. If I'm not mistaken, a motorcycle helmet only has to be rated to withstand one impact. I'm not 100% sure on this, but that's what I've heard. I just bought a helmet to use this year, and it's a KBC motorcycle helmet. I see alot of guys using them, and figured it was safer than no helmet at all. Not to mention, I have to have one, and I got a good deal on it.

Here's what it looks like...

Depends on where you are, best thing to do is just ask someone that works in Tech at your local track. Cause I have been to some tracks that require helmets NO MATTER WHAT. and I have also been to tracks that dont require helmets. Shoot...beech bend in Bowling Green is real leniant. I have seen people there drag racing with their tops down, no helmet, no seat belt, and spraying...where as Dinwidee in VA is much more strict...
