The best place to go is in your garage with a hacksaw I hacked my off, rounded the tip off and touched it up wiht some spray paint and IMO looks no different than an expensive billet shorty option.
I appreciate all the responses and the honesty. I am quite new and have never owned a Saleen or high performance vehicle before. That is why I'm asking these questions. I will wait for the car to arrive and possibly down the road ask the question again. Thanks again guys for the responses.
281E - now that's what I call and HONEST reply to some "fun-loving" ribbing. Glad you're into the never ending pursuit of HOT ROD cars, but, I must warn you, it is very un-curable!
Should have my EXTREME in 2 weeks and will post up when it gets here......absolutely no mods intended for this vehicle and I'm quite sure you will agree once yours arrives.

Glad to hear your getting yours in two weeks. I bought mine at the beginning of March and still don't have a date. The scenic roof option is holding everything up. Has anyone ordered an extreme in the state of Florida? Viper/Saleen 1 how do you street race if you don't mind me asking?
Congrats!!! I can't wait to get one of the seven cars, ( 6 are sold) I have ordered so I can drive one. As a Saleen dealer, this is the car I have been most excited about. If I love it as much as I think I will, I am buying one for myself.
We all need to start somewhere with car knowledge.... I think the Scenic roof option will be well worth the wait. It would be interesting how many E's are made in 06 with that option. you may have a very, VERY rare car.
I was thinking the same exact thing demarcom. I also went ahead and had some custom wheels made for the car. I just could not get myself to like the rims the Saleen's come with (Its about the only thing I didn't like on the car). I just can't wait for the car to come in. The wait is just killing me. I can't wait to see how many extremes they will make for 06. I just hope they keep it under a 100.

bought it through David Ray at Bartow Ford, very nice guy to deal with and very helpful
S281E - didn't know I was a "street racer"? I run my Grand Cherokee on the strip here in Richmond, VA. Naturally, I "air out" my Viper and I'm sure I'll enjoy the Saleen on the roadway, but, don't advocate street racing. Light-to-light is the most I'll do........
