If you want to know about cams, Let me know. I havent been to sleep yet, and I am really tired. AS far as a stock 5.0 I recomend a Comp Cams Extreeme Energy hyd roller. Keep it under the 274, autos will need a 2400 stall or so. 5 spds should work okay. It needs the springs swapped as well. Add roller rockers, not just the tip, but full roller rockers. A set of AFR 165heads, good headers, x or h pipe, and a Performer RPM intake, bigger throttlebody and poof. You are screamin right along. That thing would haul.... bigger injectors would be a plus

I went with the Motorsport F303.... I love it. On my truck I went with the conservative of the two I was looking at and I'm not sure I'm happy with my decision (don't get me wrong, it makes decent torque).
Lumpy idle
off idle to 3000 it feels like my mostly stock setup
3000-4500 it pulls pretty good
4500+ it screams.

I haven't explored the upper ranges of the tach much at all because I just got the motor put together, but I imagine it's quite healthy up top too.

I should note that they forgot to order my maf/injectors/cai so it's down on power right now, but in a week we'll get that fixed.

So far:
70mm tb/egr
power + intake
f303 cam
edl performer heads (not sure why they wanted to go with the edelbrock instead of afr, but there's only a slight flow difference)
mac headers
msd coil
flowmaster 40s
off road h pipe
.030 overbore
forged rebuild kit 8.5:1 compression

"E" heads work okay too. I put a set on a Paxton blown 5.0 a few years back. ran pretty well. He went to the x303 in his, lost a bit of power, but still ran good.

vfast - oh yeah! <img border="0" src=smileys/smiley16.gif border="0">

It was also balanced while they had it out.

I have a feeling that it's a lot faster than it feels right now. I just don't have a working speedometer so I can't tell you what I've had it up to. I also don't know what gear ratio I've got, but I kinda think it might be stock - 1700rpm at roughly 60mph?
