Default 06 GT vrs 2005 corvette

No there will not be a race, sorry if that upsets you, but i just wanted to know if a 06 Gt w/ slicks and a procharger at 9 psi could beat a stock 05 vette.

I think it would be a good race.

Stock '05 Vette will run mid 12's. How fast is an '06 Mustang GT with slicks and 9 lbs of boost?

Well, I don't know about the Procharger too much. With a CAI and my Saleen s/c pushing 4 lbs of boost I'll be at 400-415rwhp. I'd imagine you're at more than that with 9 lbs of boost (could be wrong tho). I say you put slicks on there and you're in the low to mid 12's easy. A guy in my town has an 05 GT auto with nothing but 4.10's, tune, and DR's and he's in the mid to high 12's.

I would have to say in the 1/4 you will take a stock 05 vette. Most of the new vettes I've seen the few times I've been to the track seem to have launch issues (IRS is the culprit?). I won't put money on it, but my gut says that (if the mustang driver can actually drive) that the GT should take it.

Apples and oranges, ThisBlood - you have a twin screw goin in.

To answer the post, with you're set-up - you should be in the 12.20's - 12.60's range so it will be close. Most of the new vets can't hook for crap off the line though and it takes a really good driver to hook em quick so I would say you have a definite advantage and if you drive half way descent, you should win the race.

you should be able to run him over all day long. With your setup you should be albe to go 11.90 or better.

With that setup the 05 GT would beat a C6 Vette.
