is there a point in lowering the tire pressure on street tires? i have Firewhawk Indy 500s, what should i lower the pressure too at the track? going on saturday

if youre just drivn around on street tires, and lower the pressure you'll do a couple things

1. be gay
2. create uneven treadwear
3. hurt gas mileage
4. probably be more dangerous cause the tires wont do somthing right, i dont know what, just sounded good

and at the track, i cant imagine loweirng them very much will help either
just dont bog, spinning is better than boggin

+1 - you're not going to get much on streets at the track at any psi. Just try to stay out of the waterbox and forget about doing burnouts to look cool and if you catch the racing bug, then make some good rubber your first priority investment for your car.
