Just saw it this morning. Will be the standard black with gold stripes. Supposedly to have 330 hp due to exhaust, CAI and tune along with stiffer suspension.
Due to start renting this month and will then be sold at auction in mid 2007. (All beat to hell, of course)
Haha, I remember back in the day when Hertz rented the Shelby 350's and such, and guys would be taking them to the track and beating the **** out of them, or swapping engine's and all kinds of shiznaz. Fun stuff.

I remember as well; guy in my town has a fully restored one. If it's not black/gold and it's a stick it's worth several multiples of the $120k they mentioned. This is neat but if Ford did the exact same car (perf mods and all) in dark green mettalic; no stripes; as a 2007 Bullit they'd sell 5000 not 500. Ford is not is good shape financially; can someone explain me the business sense behind this? Companies that make decisions on 90% emotion and little or no market analysis end up on a track where Ford is now. Why put more HP and perf in a GD rental; that's just flat out ignorance!!!!! Where is the customer input/polling? ..maybe someone who has decision making power in Ford should be tuned into this forum and others. Just get the pulse of the open customer market before a "silly" move like this. Oh I love the car, especially the hood, but I don't know how to drive an automatic. (lol)
Sorry, unless this model is the basis for say a 2007 Boss, Mach or Bullit; someone needs to get fired before they do any more damage in Ford's bottom line.
Wait till you see the swirls, scratches and worse on this BLACK pony. They actually think the rear tires will go 18k; please.... can we be real for a minute!
...sorry for the rant folks. ...I feel better now. ...well a little bit anyway.

I agree 110%, Fairlane! Cool idea...but just seems totally impractical (business-wise).
Hmmm...going to Cali in May...I may have to check on this.
