Default Race Day

I went to the 1/8 mile track Sunday afternoon, but no I didnt race, I just went to watch all the old school cars run high 5's and low 6's all day long. And it kinda pisses me off because there was a stock Suburban runnin low 10's in the 1/8, and alot of people say 99-04 GT's only run mid 9's. Now I would be pissed if a Suburban came close to beating me. There was a badass T-Bird from the 80's runnin low 6's, it was so f*cking loud. But it was a fun day for me, and I even had a few beers. The dude with the Suburban had a badazz Silverado SS, but he broke the driveshaft right off the line. He was pissed.

03/04 Cobras are only pulling low/mid eights, typically. You can see the difference between the Cobra and a GT is around a second. And a GT vs the Suburban is around a second. Seems right to me.

GT's and Suburban's are only a second apart in 1/4 mile times? Thats kinda surprising, I know they have a big engine, but weigh a fricken ton, or two.

I'm pretty well rounded when it comes to all other cars. I know the years they were made, engines, stuff like that, but I definately didnt know a Suburban could run low 10 second 1/8 mile times.

Maybe he sprayed it? Those should run 16-17's in the 1/4. FWIW a second in the 1/4 is a TON of time.
