Sorry to burst everyone's bubble but you can't judge how fast a car really is by rollin on at 40mph. I got beat rollin on at 40 by a firebird that i beat everytime by 12 car lengths from a dead stop.
That just proves your car has zero top end and the firebird has zero lowend torque.

Sleeper05: you'd be amazed at some of the cars ive beat/kept up with namely: 350rwhp rx7 top end run (up to 160ish), pullied/tuned/slicks 03 cobra, cammed and bolt-on z28s and SS's, 911 carrera, c6 vette, gto's, dinan m5, and a few others. i totally believe this guy. the best a 350z has ever done against me was ~4car loss roll-racing and staying under 100mph...i don see how 8psi would knock 2sec off their 1/4 time either considering we can hardly do it with 2 more cyl and 70 extra cubes.
let the flames begin, im comfortable with my conscience, but i guess i must have gotten a factory freak cuz no s197 owners seem to think they stand a chance in such races
If you have no mods, which I don't see in your sig... then there is NO way you could have kept up with a C6 vette. A tuned and pullied 03 Cobra... sorry not happening without a bad driver either, or a bad running car do to mech probs. The Carrera is a bit more believable but you would probably still lose. Not a definate with the Carrera. My father has both cars. There is just no way stock for stock with even drivers you are gonna keep up with a C6 vette. Not possible.
Stock for stock you are toast ... burned toast. Unless you got ahold of one of the worst drivers of a manual around. I don't care what kind of factory freak you claimed to have got. It is NOT possible stock for stock, unless .. like I said, you got ahold of a C6 manual with a HORRIBLE driver. If you kept up with that vette it's because he crashed into a median. Or you like to tell big fish stories.

I dont think it has to do with low end or top its just one car always has an advantage over the other when rollin on. And when we go from a dead stop the firebird stays with me till 2nd gear and i pull away to win by 12 lengths in1/4 mile.
