Has everyone missed he has nitrous?  Had to use that, too.

I was just about to say that.  a 75 Shot is safe to use without a tune, and 4.10's just compliment that.

I would spray if I thought I was going against a S/C'd Z.

^^ With the Zex kit, I was under the impression it sprays whenever you are WOT, not when you hit a button... I would assume he was WOT if he was racing, so unless he was empty, he was spraying... right?

That is true, but the system still has to be armed before it will spray at WOT.

They wouldn't, but he might use the flywheel number because it sounds more impressive.

I don't see why they'd pull the motor out to test it's hp rating...

ORIGINAL: Derf00

If he was pushing 412hp that's probably at the flywheel which means he's probably closer to 350 RWhp not a big enough improvement considering you're driving a modified GT.

I would have sprayed.  I am surprised it took someone that long to see his name--05zexstang-- and the complete zex kit in his signature.

Still a good kill!

No wonder you won, He had 5 guys under the hood that's roughly 800-1000 Pounds more!

joking aside, I don't see how it would be a problem for you to even have passed him with the ZEX WOT Kit.

I own a G35 with a Vortech SC on it . When I first installed it , Vortech claims it makes up to 412hp to the crank . Most 350z's and G35's will make 320 to 350whp on a Mustang dyno [ Dynojet 10 to 12% more ] So the guy was claiming crank HP .

And just to toot my own horn , Ive put on a T-trim blower making twice the psi [ 13 to 15psi ] My belt slips due to the blower being harder to turn as psi rises . Im making 430whp  and 348trq. Boost levels off and kinda spikes up and down when the belt starts to slip from 5900rpm to redline of 7200rpm .

Here's what I was driving before I bought the '07 GT.

Very quick - and surprised a lot of people.

yeah just to reiterate what the guy said earlier.  The vortech blower on the Z claims 412hp at the crank not at the wheels.  Its more like 350 whp.  And its not like the 350whp that you would get from a turbo where you get to peak hp earlier in the rpm band and stay there.  With the blower it rises steadily throughout the rpm band.  I think the mean hp is like 330 which would be probably about 275 to the wheels average throughout the power band.  Considering he had the zex kit he should have been making probably about 320-330 to the wheels and he would've had more tq.

Are you saying a supercharge Z is pushing 275 to the wheels?

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble but you can't judge how fast a car really is by rollin on at 40mph.  I got beat rollin on at 40 by a firebird that i beat everytime by 12 car lengths from a dead stop.
