I’m new to the Mustang thing, just got my 03 Mustang yesterday. I know with my old ZX2 to complement the UDP, I got an ODP for my alternator wouldn’t something like this compensate for the additional charging loss from the 42% UDP? If this is the case where would I be able to find both and roughly what would the cost be?

A harmonic balancer puller is a little metal tool that you can rent from most auto parts stores that bolts onto the harmonic balancer [more or less underdrive pulley] that removes the balancer more easily. BTW, why hasn't RPM outlet written on here to back up their business. I mean, most vendors supported here write to ensure quality, but I'm surprised RPM outlet hasn't tried to redeem themselves.

Wouldn't it be better to just go with the 25% because you would just be changing less parts because putting a bigger one on the alternator would just take back what you stole from the harmonic dampener.

Ok so i'm new to the forum and am stuck with my 98' 3.8L (Wanted to get a Fox Body 5.0) it already has a full dual flowmaster exhaust system with 3-1/2" magnaflow tips. I'm now looking for some mods that i can do to my mustang to make it faster, as it already sounds really nice. Also, will the motoblue 42% fit on my 98'. everyone here seems to have newer v6's (99 and up), and i was wondering if there was any difference in the installation and performance? Also, does anyone know the new length of drivetrain belt that i'll need after installation?

(Pictures are on the way)

+1 Autobadges. I always hear good things about them.
-100000000000000000000000000000000 RPMoutlet. I always hear bad things about them.

With the 42% UDP you may experiance poor charging, warm A/C, warming running temps and a stiffer (In most cases no) power steering.

If you can live with all those things for 2rwhp then go for it. I on the other hand would go with the 24%.

so how do underdrive pulleys actually help your car does it get rid of something connect to the engine via drive pulley or does it just make all of the stuff more efficient for the pulley system

They take strain off the engine by using less horsepower to turn accessories and more power to turn the engine.
