Looking for wiring diagram for 06 std. radio head unit plug.

People said "tap into the red one" for switched 12v power, but I'll be damned if if there's a red wire. There's a red and black one, but the wires not as thin as the ground so I think it may be for a speaker. Theres a yellow & white one that is thicker, then the black and purple one which I figure was the ground. There is also a white wire, but I was told this is the one that's hot even when the car is off.

Can anyone help?

It might be hard to find a 2006 wiring diagram. I turned up nothing on google. People typically say "red" because aftermarket companies use a red wire to interface with the wire you are looking for.

I'd say go get you a multimeter from radio shack and start checkin.....

The "red" wire is actually grey and yellow.
