Default Interesting runs against an '05 Stang and an '05 GTO

After cruising for a few hours tonight I had to chance to go up against a nice looking 5.7 GTO from about 40mph. We went at it 4 times, I pulled him by a about a car and a half each time and then an '05 Mustang GT which must have been running short one cyl because both the Goat and myself walked right by him pretty easy.

All in all a fun evening! I hope to see the Goat again sometime, he seemed like a nice guy, we gave each other the thumbs up after the last run and he turned off.

good kills man! Those GTO's have a lot of power, but they are heavy.

Thanks, I would have raced the GTO from a light but he lit up the tires so bad, I mean it was like he didn't want any traction, I think he dropped it at 6 grand once. I just laughed and watched. From 40 it was good because it took his horrible launch technique out of the picture. Gotta give him a A for effort though, he tried!

Nice runs. If it was a 5.7L GTO than it was the 04, I believe the 05's had the 6.0L in them, than he would have beat you.

^ The 3V GTs will hang or beat depending on driver skill the 5.7 Goats. You'd have to be a tard to lose to a Mustang GT in a Goat, haha.

Good runs dude.

nice kills man. the weight of the GTO's is the ONLY thing that hurts 'em. other than that, great cars imo.

Agreed, however I'm not a fan of Pontiac taking the easy way out in building it, they should have included something from the cars roots in its design but I have to admit, his car was nice. Now had Pontiac released that car under a different name, I think I'd like it much more, funny how that works.

I saw a mean looking Goat yesterday. Yellow w/black stripes starting from the nostrils to the trunk.

Didn't race, I was riding along in a Mini-Cooper S at the time.

The 6.0 goats in stock form are not that fast. I have raced many and have never lost. I did not race them until I was running 13.3 though. Now I do even better. I don't try them from rolls, I would not do so hot there. They seem to run mid 13s on average. From a roll they pull hard but they to me do not seem to have the raping power of the LS1 F-bodies.
