Default 96-97 Cobra?

Hey Guys

Im going to be in the market for a new car in the next couple of months and im thinking of getting a mustang. There are several 96-97 Cobras in the area that i am considering. I have never owned a V8 car or mustang before.

1. People are asking 10-12K for 96-97 Cobras, respectively that are bone stock. Both have ~86,000 miles. Is this bad or good price?

2.How fast are these in 0-60 and 1/4 mile?

3. What are areas i should look for that are problem spots for cobras?

4. How much is insurance usually? 23 yr old male, single, no driving tickets

5. There are also 99-00 GT's for 12-13K. Should i just get one of those instead?

If i do get one i won't go crazy with mods. Just I/H/E and lowered.

Thanks for all your help. Please no flaming.
