I can disprove the real race. Time how long it takes the Cobra to get to the island in the 1st "practice run", about 2-3secs, now time it on the "real run" its about 5-6 seconds. Such BS, and bashing a Cobra at that.
Looks like something broke or he just spun the tires... Thats not a clear win.. A win 'that' race because of error or break down but I'm sure a 2nd race would end up diff..

So if you miss second at the track and cross the finish line last you don't lose? He lost the race plain and simple don't make up an excuse, it was driver error sure but it's still a loss.

Yeah he did loose but like said earlier also look how long it took the cobra to cross the street. Much longer then the first time, non the less he lost but that doesnt mean the cobra is slower.

Right he lost but don't mean he's slower i bet the cobra would get him at a 30-40 roll right where awd don't help

well there was some screwing around in there because you are right about the time to the island, but if the info is true...the evo would rape that cobra. If that is an 03-04 cobra than it runs, what a 12.7 stock i think with 390hp. The evos now run a 13.4 with 270hp...the weight diff is there BIG TIME and the traction difference is also in favor of the evo. 500hp evo > 500hp cobra. In a real long straight, the cobra will catch up because of the tranny loss on the evo, but in the quarter i think it would for sure be the evo, and off the line the evo will win without a doubt.

Have ever really been to the track? A proprly set up rwd car will out 60 foot and out 1/4 an AWD of equal HP any day. RWD cars can hook very very well when done right. Hell I have nothing special and just went a 1.54 60 foot.

This is a common misconception. Everyone thinks that AWD owns all, but it doesn't. Even on the street, a car with slicks should be able to easliy launch with a AWD car on drag radials.
Weight transfer is what it's all about.
How many AWD cars do you see down in the 1.50s 60' range? Not many.
Yeah guys lose is a lose but if you noticed at the end it said won by way of launch it didnt say by power , The cobra could have launched bad or not at all then he missed a gear, yeah he lost but i still think the cobra would win on a roll or if he knew how to drive .

Why i totally understand what you're saying and agree with what you're saying about on the track. On the street it's no contest unless we're talking extreme conditions and tires that mimic a track in every way. Just throwing on slicks won't do it 95% of the time. Only awd cars I see in the 1.5 60' ft time or lower run high 10's on down.
