Default FLOWMASTERS? YES OR NO?

Ok guys I am heading after work to pickup my flowmasters, the american thunder ones. I'm killing time here and I keep reading about people complaining about them. Anybody having a positive experience? I'm getting kind of nervous. Maybe I should have ordered something else....

Thoughts, comments, sound clips.......

Yes , I love the rumble mine make on startup, not too loud that it wakes the neighbours but just enough to let people know you are there! 10/10

If you like the sound of chambered mufflers you will be fine. If you would rather have a straight flow exhaust then go with Magnaflows. I have had both and the Magnaflows actually got me 2 extra rwhp but are not as loud at idle. The magnaflows sound just as good if not better at WOT. If you plan on going with offroad x-pipe with or without cats it made my flowmasters way to loud and very raspy.

Perfect outatime, thanks. That's the sound I'm looking for.

Ive noticed that when I first put 'em on, it was pretty dam loud at startup in the garage, but after a couple thousand miles, it quieted down noticeably. Still has the fine sound driving around, tho.

I've had Flowmasters on quite a few different cars and loved them, but I was just reading on one of these forums last night that people are having trouble with them. They say they hear a rattling in the back and have found out that the inner baffel plates are breaking loose from their welds. Flowmaster is offering them replacements or their money back. Personally even after having Flowmasters on other cars I think the stock GT mufflers have a good sound and have not changed them on my 05 GT.

I've got'em and love them! It has a growl which is great, but is not super loud.
This is my daily driver so I didn't want the super loud slp's and such. There is a bit of drone at low rpm under light to moderate aceleration, but not bad.
I went with flowmaster over magnaflow because of price.
If you just want axlebacks the flowmasters are the best bang for the buck, IMO
