May 06 article on the Camaro vs GT500. Times on the stang are alot better then I tougth they were gonna be. 0-60 is at a screeming 3.5 sec and the 1/4 mile @ 11.6/128mph from the stable. Thats insane and I cant wait (not that ill have one but....). I new the car was gonna be fast, but not a sec+ faster than the 03/04 Cobra. A few upgrades should be able to put that bad-boy in the 10's(heads, cams, intake, and ported supercharger +pully swap). Holly crap I need to win the lottery. Then they were talking about the Boss 330 with 5.4 rated 389hp @ 5500rpm and 384 lb-ft@ 4500rpm

Where did you find that? I wanna read the article for myself!

Althouh the GT500 wll be replacing the Ford GT as the flagship car of Ford until they start building the GR-1(if ever, haha), I just can't see a heavier car going that fast in the quarter with less horsepower.

Haha, that would be great. Hell, in those lame ass imulations, the Boss 330 and Z28 were both running low twelves, let along the low elevens the GT500 and ZL-1(guessing a super HP 'Maro idear with the LS7 wedged in there) were pulling! I also love how the V6 camaro manages to land whole second and change on the six shooter stang. I'm gonna do it. Watch out. O schucks! I call hooey on MT. They have proven themselves to be complete dumbasses. The Cobra R in it's super light race weight glory couldn't pull low twelves like the brick the Boss 330 and new Camaro are gonna be. This truly saddens me.

I swallowed my pride and read the actual article in the magazine. 60% of the sepcs they plugged into the system guessed, and even then they admitted to favoring the Camaro in 70% of the guessing they did for the concept's specs! I hate it, I hate it, I hate it, I HATE IT!!!!

i don't think it'll trap 128 mph. at the detroit auto show they claimed a roots style blower making 8.5 psi. it'll be more powerful that the 03/04 cobra, but i dont see it trapping much more that 117 or so. also, the only upgrade you'll need is a twin screw blower like the 03/04's. cams will be nice, but not necassary to make 600 rwhp. heads cams and cai (remember Theorem1 there is no manifold on these cars) wouldnt do it, because even with a pulley swap and porting the roots blower still cannot flow enough or as much as a twin screw. ported heads would actually cause it to lose boost pressure. also, just like the PI heads, no one makes an aftermarket 4V head casting, so this swap wouldn't be possible anyways.
