What's the story behind this car? Do you know who built it? Is it a Ford concept? That thing is AWESOME.

I like the concept of the cammer engine, but $15,000 for one is a bit too steep for my blood. Besides that, I could get a lot more horsepower for a lot less money from other race engine builders.

I honestly cannot believe you guys think this car looks great. You ALL hate rice, which generally consist of loads of stickers, unmatching paint on body parts, a huge wing, etc.... This car has all that. At least it's fast.

uh......how can you even think that that looks like rice????

uh......how can you even think that that looks like rice????

Lets see, HUGE GT-R sticker or painted on, ugly ass wing (which does serve a purpose, I'm well aware), a black carbon fiber hood when the rest of the car is orangeish, sweet ass chrome gas cap....

I know this isn't rice, as all of this serves a purpose, but it looks just like a "pimped" out import.

I GUARENTEE you if it was any other type of car, minus a Ford, it would be butt ass ugly to any and all here.

sup guys. i saw the gt-r IN PERSON at the new york auto show. it is awesome. it is a concept for the American Lemans Series, so it will not be for sale. BUT, most of the parts on the GT-R will be available through Ford Racing. the car is absolutely insane. they re-tuned it to get 505 hp. i have heard that it sounds absolutely rediculous (in a good way). yea, some of it seems like rice, but it is functional. there is a differance. the wing is functional since it will be going very fast. the "ground effects" improve aerodynamics and barely add any weight because they are made of carbon fiber. so is the hood. the color is from classic Mustangs from back in the day in the road racing series of the past, so that is the reason they picked it. they do a great write up of the GT-R in Autoweek if anyone is interested. their website is www.autoweek.com .

I love this car. Rice would be all those stickers and wings with no reason to have them. Race cars are loaded with stickers and they are cool because the stickers belong there because someone is paying for them to be there. This car is by far not rice. There is only one sticker discribing what it is. It would be rice if a guy bought a six cylinder 05 and did that to it.

Yes I like the new GT-R.. Its wild and original and Ford's first stang with stock 20's lol
mkspeed I wish I could have gone to the show, I had plans to be there but had to drive home sooner than planned.... Hopefully APPEX will have a showing of it this year.....

I love everything about it except for the wing.... That is rice :)
But a wing is 4 bolts lol

Oh man what I'd do too see that parked in my shop :)

The 2005 GTR- That is the coolest looking newest mustang I have seen!! If they actually come out with it, I will **** myself..
And, if it does have the 5.0 'cammer', it will be fast as hell. If it is true what mkspeed26 said, 505 hp and all, it would kill vipers, vettes (even the new z06) and anything else. We need to have this car in production!! And for the wing and the ground effects and other stuff, (1) redesign the wing- not so ricer and (2)the ground effects and other body designs are awesome!

Hey, do any of you guys drive any SVOs or Turbo cpupe Thunderbirds? I just got ahold of a 93' LX convertible and I'm trying to decide whether to go with the V8 or to go with an SVO/Turbo coupe setup. I could really care less how loud my car is. I am thinking about practicality and everyday drivability. However, if I can't find any parts for a turbo four stang, then I'm gonna have to go with a V8. If any of you guys happen to know any good places in TX to get SVO components, then please let me know.
