i gotta admit guys that the idea of slapping a power adder has crossed my mind. HOWEVER, thats one reason i didnt buy the GT. anybody can get a 300 hp stock ride and start whooping arss, same holds true for power adders. to me its teh guys who spends more time taking the less powerful motor and making it into a daily driver but also a high hp all motor beast that gets respect. (thats just me) i firmly believe that because the motor is already a 4.0 its only a matter of time before it's stroked and would not be uncommon to be running 13's or even 12's all motor. maybe im being stupid about it but its a goal i wanna achieve because then i can say "hey, i got this car with the motor that supposedly wasnt worth getting and i just ran a number you wish you could run." not to be a dik but the potential is there and for those who would say its not there, it would be nice to rub it in their face every now and again. anyway, here is a website of a place that seems to be taking us 6 lovers pretty damn serious. i hope it wasnt already posted. if so, my bad. let me know what you think. http://www.supersixmotorsports.com/pdf/SSM200640SOHCCatalogVer3.pdf omer, it is a SOHC. its just that its 1 cam per bank.

I love the idea of staying n/a. I was talking with Travis over at http://home.fastspecialties.com/ about this. He was saying, for our cars there's not a great mid-range way of making power. Bolt-ons get you small-ish gains at lower cost. A supercharger or turbocharger gets your bigger gains at a much bigger cost. But, heads, stroked, cams, pistons, etc get you only modest gains with a large cost. He thought the supercharger was the best way to go power/cost wise. Still, I'd love to see a 4.0L with all that lovely internal work done, especially since I want to keep mine a daily driver. But, will probably end up going with a low-boost supercharger one day.

ORIGINAL: omer333 What's this about passenger side cam? I thought this was a SOHC engine, not a DOHC. It is a SOHC. You still need a cam for each cylinder bank. If it was DOHC it would have 2 cams for each cylinder bank. The cam chain is on the front of the driver's side, in the rear on the passenger's side. Each head is the same, it's just turned around from side to side.

well i went to the dealership today and took a look at the v6's and i liked what i saw, but i also saw an rx-8...i know most of you will bash me for liking that car but i dont really care. It was a 6 speed for 19,700 with 22,000 miles on it. It was black with the leather interior and all options except for navigation. I am seriously considering that, but if i do get a mustang ive decided i'll be the guinea pig for going all n/a (cams heads and such). I should have whichever one i get by the first of may, so i will update you guys one what i do.
