What is considered a fast 1/4 mile time for you guys? Completly street driveable, radials, mufflers, doesnt over heat, and can be driven pretty much everywhere including to the track?

well for a mustang, i think if you've got a reliable daily driver in the 12's, that's pretty fast. considering that 95% + of the cars on the street won't be able to outrun you. there's always somebody faster of course, but personally i know alot of people with sports cars, mustangs camaros etc...and only a fraction are in the 12's or better.

daily driver? reliable? every mod you do basically makes you car less reliable (in some cases) but a 12 is fast for daily driver, i wouldnt mind 13 at all...

I like 11's or faster for a streetable car. I have a daily driver that runs mid 13's with 2.93 gears and OD trans and seems kinda heavy ar 3900 lbs with me in it. Its not a Mustang,  but it will go anywhere and gets decent mileage for a huge engine with an 850 Demon carb. Like 19-22 on the highway. Dont ask about in town. One of my others runs in the 11's and it gets driven to the track and on short hops of like 50-60 miles. Has deep gears right now, so I can drive to fast. Going to 3.42s maybe this weekend. Will see where it is then.

I just wanted to know what you guys think. Always good to know an opinion, maybe I can learn something.

I kinda see somebody hitting the low 12's in a daily driver as fast. FAST happens with the 10.99 barrier.

In the tens is where I think FAST is at,however it's kinda tough to do on regular radials, they would need to be a drag radials or E.T Streets to be cosistent.A lot depends on how fast you are allready and what your defination is of streetable,I think my car is streetable and I could use it for going back and forth to work, but,it has to be a compromise somewhat with the E.T. Streets and no a/c.Like Bcisme said there is always gonna be somebody faster that may have a different defination of dailydriver/streetable.

there's a guy somewhere in my area who has a 99 GT Auto running high 12's. his car is completely stock except for cobra brakes and a vortec supercharger kit. total sleeper, and he drives it every day. i see him at the beach almost every time i go down there.

Cool, you gusy dont think a 14 sec car is fast.. I like that.  tens for a street car, something that can be driven like 15 miles to the track and back, raced all night sit in traffic and not blow a bunch of corks and doesnt get the attention of every cop for 100 miles is my idea of really fast. 11's for something you can drive to work everyday is impressive to me. If you can do it with AC all the better. Mine does without it, due to how much it costs to repair AC systems. The 40 lbs I saved by axing it wasnt enough to really slow me down.  You guys are cool.. I like that..

I would be happy hitting mid to upper 12s in my daily driver.....but in south florida I need A/C....not for the heat <that I don't care about> but because it rains so damn much in the summer and the windows just fog up.

So 12's would be GREAT for me......then again, if I ever get 12s I know I'm gonna want 11s....hehehehe

yep!  That's what it really comes down to.....you get a car, turn it into a project then "mod it to hell" until you need another daily driver....that eventually becomes a project then "mod it to hell" until you need another daily driver....that eventually............

i think w/e u drive is fast as long as it runs well and gets you around nicely. BUT ONLY IF YOU DID THE WORK YOURSELF. If you just did something like sent your s**t off then your gay. But now motor wise its ok to buy a prebuilt motor cuz most of those places build them better then anyone in there garage's tools.

i have to agree with jeep on the 10 thing cause it's probably just not ideal for the street, but can be street legal.  but if we're talking regular daily driver, somewhat efficient, probably 12
