Default ROUGH BLACK TRIM ??

I dont know what you call this trim that runs from the top of the door just under the window all the way around the back of the car beneath the rear window. It is black on my silver convertible and has a rough texture [:-]( gee i sound dumb)[:-] Anyway this is already fading in the back and I was wondering what I could do.. it is turning a light greyish color but of course looks black again if its wet or if you polish it with something but it doesnt last long

not much you can do if it gets really bad it a cheap ford replacement and should be covered by warrantyfor fading and cracking but try "mothers back to black" (almost any auto parts store) also usefull for the miror cowling and side skirts and black plastic peices that aeren't painted. also an expensive but good investment is a car cover i park out in a dusty back school parking lot on a daily basis and i use the cover pretty frequently it also keeps the heat off and the sun wont damage anything on the car with the cover on.

good luck

Formula 303 Vinyl Conditioner, will make it black again and protect from UV rays. Try ebay. They also make a convertible top cleaner, then you use the conditioner to keep it shiny and clean.
