Just bought a 05 V-6 Mustang Convertible Premium. The offset for the wheels is 39mm to my understanding, Does anyone know what the backspace is for the front and back wheels. I'm looking for a 16x7 wheel to put on but having trouble finding one for the 05 stang. Thought if i knew the backspace it would make my search easier. Thanks in advance for your help!
im not quite sure what your talking about the stock wheels are 16x7 go to any mustang site and look for 2005 wheels the offset is +36 mm by the way. i have 18x9 chrome bullits and they came with spacer for the front and they work great i have a 245/45-18 tire on them. no rub and they look amazing.
$619 from mustang tuning shipped. (no rubber of course)
tires $380.00 (per 1) good year eagle F1 super car with run flat technology (amazing tires)
By saying i was looking 16x7 wheel to fit I meant i was looking for an aftermarket 16x7 wheel to fit everything i find is 17' or 18" I really didnt want to have to purchase new tires also.
well the offset u need depends on the width of the wheel. on the factorys they are around 45mm..on most aftermarket widths..from 8" to 9.5" wide the optimal offset is 35mm. any more and you risk hitting the inner fender, any less and it may stick out.
