Default got back from the track

I have 6 timeslips in front of me, and onemore in the glove box. the one in the glove box is one of those you throw, and just go down the 1/4 with out even looking at it. it was still in the 14's but i missed 2 gears.

I still didnt get a 13.
best time was
rt . .563
60' 2.180
330' 5.9.29
1/8 9.060
mph 78.59
1000 11.75
1/4 14.016
mph 99.50

Most my other 60' where 2.3xx time all pretty much 14.1xx

One of the guys said the back left would lift when I was hitting it in second. not the tire lifting up, but the body.

I did beat 2 cobras, one was a 99 coupe, the other was a 01 vert. The 99 coupe was actually just had a bad run, he had been running 13.8ish all the other times. The 01 vert is having some transmision difficulties. the vert beat me on the first run with a 17 second run, i red lit( if .0 was a perfect light I would have been dang close[:'(]) Minus the redlight i ran 14.13@100.21

About all I can say is I had the fastest 94+ GT out there, had all RT less than .852( not that it matters), my 60's blew. 1st just liked to spin.

All my runs runs tonight was all on MT DR's.

Nice runs. But with all those mods and some MT DR's, shouldnt you be in the 13's pretty easily? Must be a ****ty preped track. Better luck next time trying for the 13's.

I bet if you get a tune done you'll be running 13's all day long.

Yeah I should have been easily In the 13's. I was there when they was doing the prep work. And to me looked like they did a good job.

I think suspension is next on the things to do. a line lock. and a 2step tune with a little lower rpm. 3500 was just too much

Suspension plays a big role in how well you do at the track. But with your mods, I believe 13's should be no problem, but like I said, you need a tune. And I'm guessing you have manual by your mod list, so maybe you could launch alittle higher once you get suspension done. Good luck.

I am confused by this comment I guess. Body seperating can be a good thing. You want the car to lift from the rearend that means the rearend is being planted down to the ground.

Did you change anything else besides the drag radials? how did this time compare to your previous best? What psi did you end up starting with in the tires? did you check them after also? the psi will go up after a burnout you have to take that into consideration.

I went to the track today for the first time too. i've got a 2003 mustang gt with, superchips tuner, mac cai, off road h pipe, seats removed, battery in the trunk and rear shocks set at the softest setting. The best i could run was a 14.109, my 60ft's are killing me too, i tried to rev it to about 2500 and slip it out, but i would always just mess up. all my runs i launched from idle or 1000rpms. blah i need to learn how to launch.

You do need to learn how to launch if all you can launch at is 1000rpms. What were your 60ft times?

I guess I was expecting them to say the back right of the body would drop. I thought the left would stay, wasnt even thinking it what the left would do.

Last time I was leaving at idle. This time I was leaving at 3500 with the pedal on the floor. I cant remember if last time I was on a 87octane tune or 91. This time I was on a 93 with the two step. I didnt check the tire pressure till after 4 runs. I set it at 21.5 went to check It was 23. lowered it to 20, and the next time lowered it to 19. I almost killed it a few times doing the brake check doing a burn out. I probly got one decent burnout, and that was probly one of the two 2.1's
Here are my previous times

Your 60' is murdering your time. on the MT DRs you should be making a much better 60'
