Help searching for info. on this Mustang !

Hello !
I
have been searching high and low for the article/info to go with this Mustang!

It is a motortrend pic. There were also pictures of this car at the Detroit Auto Show. I ordered a silver 05 GT (had it a year in May) with the hopes of matching this paint scheme : silver with white stripes.

I am wondering if this is satin silver, or a custom color. If go to the link and scroll down the pictures are at the bottom. My tax return check is in and I want to have the paint done soon.

If anyone has any info on it I'd appreciate. Or some pics of silver/white stripe combos.

From what I can tell that is Tungsten Grey with Satin Silver racing stripes. I have the spec sheet on the GT500 and it is the only Mustang I know of that has optional painted on racing stripes. The funny thing is that you can't order the GT500 with just the racing stripes, it comes with the rocker stripes as well. The Tungsten Grey paint option in the GT500 is only available with Satin Silver stripes.

My point is that the Motor Trend car might be a specially produced promo Mustang GT as the only stripes you can get on the 2006 GT are vinyl and not painted on.

That was a custom paint mix for the show only. Ford painted a GT, Mustang, and the Cobra concept the same color. I have the paint code for the body color and the strips if you would like it. I got it from a friend at Ford who is in charge of all car show at Ford.

Yes ! I would love the paint code. Thank you for all the info. Also by chance can you get the stripe specs. (width and gap )

[:@] I would like to make a correction. I found out today that the Le Mans Stripes and the rocker stripe on the GT 500 will be vinyl [sm=badidea.gif] NOT PAINTED ON AS I PREVIOUSLY BELIEVED. Sorry.
