I am in Phoenix on business and they gave me V6 to drive. These cars aren't too bad at all. They have alot more power than my old 02 3.8 V6. The ride seems to be pretty nice, not as stiff as the GT. The handling is pretty good as well. For the price of these cars, you can't go wrong.

yea, i like them both.. we just bought a 2006 mustang V6 with the pony package in redfire red... i love the color of the car and how it handles... it would eat my 02 GT in the turns like nothing. i am thinking of gettin rid of my 02 and getting like a used 05 if i can and then maybe seeing if my blower will bolt up?

Thanks for posting this, yea, they are not bad. They are significantly different than the 3.8. They can be quick little 6's when you give them the right modificaiton.

Too bad Ford didn't come out with a V6 sport package option that includes dual exhaust, upgraded suspension and a CAI. I guess the V6 was meant more for the cruising aspects than they were for performance and they didn't want it to compete with the GT. It is still a nice little ride for the money.

It's the truth, the V6 is pretty good bang for the buck if you want a new 'Stang, but can't afford the GT. This is my first Mustang, but there's been a few in my family (including a 72 Mach 1 funny car, my dad had that when he was racing, he thinks mine is bad-@$$).

I went from a 99 V-6 convertible to the 05 V-6 and really feel a difference in power. Now, I get in my V-6 ESCAPE and wonder what is wrong with it, as it feels sluggish in comparison.
BTW, some of us buy the V-6 because we WANTED it, not because we couldn't afford a GT.
