dude well from what i heard, the new mustangs arent good with the knew superchargers, i mean yeah u'll get a major boost in power but the new mustang engines arent made for superchargers. i was considering one for my V6. but who knows, it was a tip from a mechanic...

I spoke with a high-performance mechanic and he pointed out that a supercharger will work great, for about 30,000 miles --but the transmission and drive train are not capable of handling the strain without some upgrade.

A super charger is the way to go but it costs alot. First off, you can control the boost on a supercharger for your engine specs. Second off, all 3.8's 99+ are better equipt for power adders than earlier model Cobras that came stock with super chargers.
The only weak area on the 99+ 3.8 are head gaskets, that's all. You can wait till they start to leak or just do them at the same time as the charger which is what I recomend. On my 99 I went with Fel-Pro racing gaskets and never had any trouble the whole time I owned that Stang. I was running 10 psi of boost with a dual stage chip. I miss that car, but my 03 will be even better. [sm=smiley14.gif]
